A new landmark is being planned in the heart of Salzburg, between Lastenstraße and the western part of the main railway station – a cycle and pedestrian bridge that will not only be functional, but also a symbol of sustainability and urban well-being.

This project, which we developed on behalf of the engineering firm Wölfle, is intended to make the city of Salzburg a little greener and offer residents and visitors a new, inspiring space to linger. The bridge will invite you to take a break from the stress of everyday life and the hustle and bustle of the city. Whether on the comfortable seating or under the shady trees, which are idyllically placed on the green island in the middle of the bridge. Fascinating views open up, enriching the experience in a special way. You can watch the trains coming in and out of Salzburg Central Station, let your gaze wander over the old town and marvel at the majestic Hohensalzburg Fortress in the distance.

The approaches to the bridge will lead through a green ribbon of trees, creating a refreshing and calming atmosphere. As a kind of treetop path or urban forest with native woods, the bridge will not only be appreciated as a traffic route, but also as a piece of nature in the middle of the city. The bridge will also prove to be an important artery for pedestrians and cyclists by connecting the two parts of the city that are separated by train traffic.

Our services in the context of this project include the design of the bridge, the examination of the technical feasibility as well as the 3D visualization, which is required for various official channels in order to present the project realistically.

With this project, we hope to make a positive contribution to the urban development of Salzburg and that our creative design can one day be admired in reality.
