An existing building on Lake Wolfgangsee is to be replaced by a new building. The requirements in the landscape conservation area were strict, and the official approval was a challenge that we were able to overcome thanks to our many years of experience. As in the existing building, the garage and the main building are to have a pitched roof. The single-storey intermediate wing would be designed with a flat roof, as in the existing building. The ground floor and first floor are to be constructed with a solid wood system. The wall and roof surfaces are covered with larch wood shingles (ground floor partially shuttered). The wooden shingles and the wooden formwork remain free of chemical wood preservatives and should weather naturally. The PV system is a clear commitment to sustainable management. The aim was to integrate the PV system into the new building in an attractive way. The PV system is to be installed on the north side of the building in addition to the south side. The plan is to install an in-roof system in the FULLBLACK version. Start of construction: spring 2024
