Residential house Flachau

Pongau barn reinterpreted

These visualizations show our current design of a residential house in Flachau, wonderfully located with a view into the valley head. The owner family already knows us from another very extensive commercial project of their family, where we were allowed to take over the planning. We are particularly pleased that they have entrusted us again with the planning, this time with their private residence.
It should be a wooden building that fits into the Pongau. Planner Christoph Mösl of m3-ZT found a traditional form with the Pongau hay stacks and the sloping downward walls and transformed it into our time and for a family house. The louvre facade on the upper floors calms the large window areas, protects against intense sunlight and at the same time brings interesting plays of light into the house.
Native larch wood shingles protect the building from weathering.
Particularly exciting are also the partly wrap-around interior balcony and the roof terrace above the garage – a private area for the kids, accessible from the children’s bedrooms and the balcony.

On the first floor, the overgrown pergola is a shaded retreat in the summer and the connection to the garden.

The m3 team wishes you much joy with your soon-to-be home.
